Save the Children: Needs Newborn (infant) Health Programme Advisor

Save the Children UK has been working in Nigeria since 2001. The early focus was on getting children actively involved in shaping the decisions that affect their lives.
Today, SC UK is working in several states: Zamfara, Yobe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Bauchi, Kaduna and others – focusing on child survival, education and protecting children. Furthermore, Nigeria is one of five priority countries for the Alliance popular campaign in child survival. As the world’s leading independent children’s charity, Save the Children inspires dramatic change for children around the globe. We are looking for an experienced staff to implement a 9 months Saving Newborn Lives (SNL) funded project addressing the Newborn Health needs of children in Nigeria.
Job Title: Newborn Health Programme Advisor (SNL)
The candidate will support the integration and expansion of newborn health by Saving Newborn Lives (SNL) programme partners.
She/he will provide support to the Newborn and Child Survival Adviser in providing tailored technical assistance to SNL partners and monitoring implementation of programme activities.
She/he will provide technical skills in the areas of newborn health, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, training, materials development and behaviour change communication.
Requirements
The requirement for the position include a postgraduate qualification in health or related field, 5 years work experience in health/public health organization; including 3 years of experience as a national level trainer/technical assistance provider in RH/MCH with the government or an International NGO.
The candidate must possess experience in RH/maternal, newborn and child health programming. Facility and community based health service improvement is essential.
Annual Gross Salary: N5,000,000.00
