Business Partnering
- Consult with Line management and provide HR guidance when appropriate
- Plan, manage projects and facilitates best practice, change management strategies and business process improvements to assist assigned Divisions achieve their corporate objectives
- Engage the Line Executives and other key stakeholders to determine business needs and proactively design strategic HR solutions to meet such needs in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence (COE)
- Organize the work environment and proactively recommend effective actions to promote the desired culture
- Facilitate change management initiatives and programs for business units/Line (communication, implementation and monitoring)
- Facilitate problem solving and generate commitment to change, assist to resolve human resource issues and appropriately apply policies, best practices, and management tools
- Promote and facilitate the understanding of the use and benefits of human resource best practices, management tools, and, secure commitment to change
- Encourage and ensure managers take ownership of people management issues
- Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation and lead on the implementation of new HR policies
Industrial Relations/ Influencing
- Work cross functionally with the industrial relations officer to advise and support Line managers and supervisors as required
- Demonstrate knowledge of employee relations requirements related to day-to-day management of employees
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Participate in respective employee counseling and grievance sessions
- Advise assigned Division on labor environment changes
Attraction, Recruitment and Retention
- Collaborate with the Talent Team and Business to identify, engage and retain talents within the organization
- Manage the departmental level Talent sourcing and acculturation processes in conjunction with the Attraction & Recruitment team to ensure adequate and available talent pipeline
- Ensure timely resourcing of Talent within the assigned Division to ensure business continuity
- Contribute to headcount budget process of the assigned division to ensure optimal staffing
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning
Employee Engagement
- Work closely with management and staff to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
- Facilitate senior management road shows for assigned Division to ensure proper employee engagement
- Provide day to day performance management guidance to Line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Report & Matrix
- Access information, analyses data and reports on findings to senior management
- Ensure the collation of HR activity reports in assigned Division for submission to HR senior management
- Liaise with Divisional executives to analyze trends and metrics to develop interventions, solutions , programs and policies
Job Conditions:
Normal MTNN working conditions.
Regional travel.
Extended working hours may be required
Qualification:
•A first degree preferably in Social, Human and or Behavioral Sciences A professional qualification of CIPMN, CIPD, SHRM is desirable
Required Skills:
•At least 8 years work experience preferably in a multinational business environment comprising:

•At least 4 years HR experience
•Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
•Experience in providing HR services and HR Administration
•Experience in Employee Relations would be an added advantage
